As part of the European IPCEI-CIS initiative, Oktawave is undertaking the ambitious task of developing a range of cryptographic technologies to secure data processing in cloud environments. The solutions under development are designed for universal applicability—ensuring protection of processing workflows across both global public cloud platforms and private clouds hosted in local data centers.
The project will focus on research into the use of cryptographic techniques as a foundation for building secure runtime environments and data storage solutions within GPU-based infrastructures.
In parallel, Oktawave will develop mechanisms for authorization, consolidation, and change tracking in datasets distributed across cloud processing centers—including both central facilities and edge locations. The objective is to create a unified view of distributed data, enabling both existing and new applications—originally designed for traditional server architectures—to fully leverage the capabilities of cloud computing.
This initiative will contribute to strengthening European data sovereignty. It will also improve access to secure, integrated cloud services across EU member states, empowering individuals and businesses to utilize cloud resources with enhanced privacy and trust.
